CBD Oil Directions - How much to take - How does it Work ?

Directions for Use

Taking CBD oil sublingually (under the tongue) is the fastest and most effective method of CBD absorption. Using the pipette, place the desired dosage of CBD oil under your tongue and hold it there for 1-2 minutes or for as long as is comfortable.  The CBD will be absorbed through the mucosal membrane that lines your mouth, reaching the bloodstream directly without having to make its way through the gastrointestinal tract.  Taking CBD this way should enable it to act more quickly than an edible that must first be digested.

We know that taking oil under your tongue isn’t for everyone so, if you would prefer to swallow it immediately or take it in a drink or food, don’t worry.  You will soon still be getting the benefits of CBD.

How much CBD should I take?

The recommended maximum dose of CBD in the UK is 70mg per day.

We recommend starting low and building up in strength if needed. Below is our chart of maximum dosage for each strength of CBD oil:

CBD Strength 1ml of Oil* Maximum Dosage per Day
1000mg 1ml = 33mg CBD 2.0mls
2000mg 1ml = 66mg CBD 1.0mls
3000mg 1ml = 100mg CBD 0.75mls

*Every Voyager CBD Oil comes with a calibrated pipette for easy dosage measuring.

How does CBD work?

CBD is used for a variety of different reasons and has been reported to be beneficial for people who are suffering from pain, anxiety, stress and insomnia. Research is still ongoing into all the benefits of CBD for the human body. However, what is known is that CBD, being a plant-based cannabinoid (a phytocannabinoid), is similar in structure to cannabinoids (endocannabinoids) which are naturally produced by the human body by your endocannabinoid system (ECS).  The ECS helps regulate a variety of your body’s functions including temperature, appetite and digestion, sleep, memory, mood, pain, and pleasure.

The two primary receptors that have been identified are the CB1 and CBreceptors, which are predominantly in the brain and immune system respectively.  The theory is that, by taking a phytocannabinoid such as CBD, we support our ECS which itself is important for our overall health and wellness.
